After months of hard work by many on our team, I am so pleased that we are ready to share our new strategic plan. Please join us at our first hybrid town hall meeting on Monday, February 26, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. This plan is our roadmap for the next five years. It’s an exciting plan that I am eager to share with you. Additionally, we will share some fun and important news for our team. You can join this event one of two ways:

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Rice United Way campaign. The campaign has raised $193,877, and our division has contributed $23,010. As we focus on care for the community, it’s important to recognize that our community extends beyond campus boundaries. In supporting United Way, we contribute to the well-being of Houston families by funding financial, educational, and healthcare services. I’d like to especially recognize the F&CP team for the successful United Way event they hosted at the O'Connor Building with faculty, staff, and students in attendance. There is still time to give through March 22 if you haven’t already.
Also, as we are in the midst of Black History Month, the university is hosting several events throughout February. I encourage you to take advantage of these programs and events as they celebrate and recognize the history, contributions, and achievements of the Black community. The program offerings and strong community interest highlight our organization’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and community-building, which I am honored to be a part of.
Lastly, our Public Affairs team has launched "INSIDE Rice," a dynamic newsletter delivering the latest campus news to our staff and faculty every Monday. This weekly update will showcase activities and projects from schools, institutes, and divisions across campus, including a section dedicated to the latest developments within the F&A division.
